Skyline Trails get some love

We're beyond stoked to be able to support the system around the infamous Troy Lee Trail with the addition of the fiscally supported Corona MTB committee, and November 25 marked our first official trail work day.

The team, comprised of Corona MTB volunteers, their leader Dwight, OCMTBA trail boss Todd, several rangers and city officials. We grouped at the entrance to Skyline and loaded up in several trucks to head to Upper Block. Everyone was anxious to "dig in", immediately focusing on ruts made from the recent heavy rains.

It was awesome to see such an able and skilled crew with total enthusiasm for the places they love to ride. And supported by a municipality that truly appreciates the "give back" our community can offer. We even had several riders stop on the way up and grab a McLeod. Together they knocked out the rut repair and then worked the first berm, a major improvement (IYKYK).

Keep watching this space. Early this year a BOLT submission was made by Darshan of the Warriors Society - it starts at the top of this system so it only made sense that we support both it and Corona MTB . And more is coming, signage that helps volunteers find trail work events and donors make contributions. And we're working on trail counters to help the parks department justify funding, that will go right back to your trail experience.

This is what we can do working together with a city to make an informal ride venue better for everyone, thank you City of Corona and the Corona MTB crew - you guys rock!
