Continuing an awesome tradition, Adventure Day was held last weekend at Ronald W. Caspers Wilderness Park. The weather was amazing, the attendance solid, and the representation exactly what you see on a trail every day - equestrians, hikers and of course us mountain bikers. Orange County Mountain Bike Association was honored to be able host the Kid's Bike Rodeo.

OC Parks set up a nice little course with a hill climb, some whoops, a water crossing and a chicane...and the tikes took it all in stride. Of course, our volunteers couldn't help but do a little tuning cause we love trail work!

Every future OCMTBA member was given a trail bell, taken through a safety talk, decked out in their helmet, kept fed with snacks and water, then sent out to follow Ranger Gregg.

Even our own Good Dirt Kurt and Awesome Andi of Harvest Home School made sure to help escort our young riders around the course.

Lots of grins, a few skinned knees and much dirt was rolled over. These kids are our future and nothing warms your heart more than seeing the smiles when they master that bit of technical and build the confidence to hit our trails. Thanks to our community for making this event a rousing success.
